Hydro dip cure time

Can you clear coat over an already dipped part thats been sitting months? I have some ATV parts (my personal ATV) that I dipped and have been sitting! I just finished the last parts and it dawned on me! I know if you have a painted part you have to soft scuff it before clear coating! And can you hit it with an adhesive promotor like bull dog if its an issue!

Your idea to use adhesion promoter is just fine. But be 100% sure all the PVA film has been rinsed off first.

Depends on the paint. If it is a 2K urethane, you will need to scuff it (which will damage the print, a "light scuff" that doesn't damage the print, isn't going to get it to stick). Adhesion promoter is essentially solvent, and if you wipe with that, there is a good chance you are going to wipe off the print. If it is OHW or Aqualac, or one of the paints made for this process (with an infinite recoatability window) you would be fine for a year for sure, under certain circumstances it has been 2-3 times longer.
