Tank filtration system

Built my own rails and filtration system but looking for some help still.
THe second picture is the pump I’m using and it doesn’t seem to be sucking the water in to help with filtration of the activator like I thought it would it just circulates at one end of the tank, I did move the spray bar up and added a hole close to the hose seemed to keep all the old film and activator near the pump.

Anyone with suggestions on what can change?

Yeah... that pump is no where NEAR strong enough to push the film across the tank, that spray bar needs to be submerged. That filtration unit is gonna clog up tight with any real usage from the PVA, the ink, and any tape that gets in there.

Shouldn't the pump pickup line be in the bottom of the catch basin? And fill the catch basin with air filter material cut to fit.

Agree with above. Need a larger pump, but a video of what’s happening may help see what’s going on. Upload to YouTube and post a link.

Also, you’re not going to “filter out” activator without some sort of carbon filtration. The filter will remove tape and film residue, and the circulation will help the activator solvents to evaporate.
