I tried changing to ohw paint and I seem to be having a lot of trouble now.  Like I be doing something different or is it the paint?

Hello! Can you give us more information? What were you using previously? What "trouble" are you having specifically? Describe your process a bit. What activator, how is it being applied, etc.

I’ve always struggled with dipping and I’m using k2 brew temp is 90 degrees soak for 60 seconds some films I get perfect and others never can get right  here is a pic of what’s happening

That is under activation. Get some practice parts like light switch cover plates and work on your technique w that film. It will take quite a bit of activator.
