Nanochem 0-1% clear

So i recently ordered some Nanochem 0-1% clear to use on guns from onpace finishing solutions. I've heard @midohiohydrographics talk about it all the time so i figured it must be worth a shot. My partner does all the clearing but he is loving the way it sprays and lays down. And this stuff is flat. Hard to tell its even been cleared. We do a good bit of hunting rifles so i think its gonna be perfect. And we gave them a call the other day just to ask a couple questions and they seem like they have great customer service. Witch is alway a big plus.

How much are you laying down? I have stayed away from dipping my AR and a few of my pistols because I did not want any gloss.

Well we shot most of our guns with a .8 to cut down on waste. When we called and talked to them they suggested to use a 8:1:1 since we were using a .8 and to apply 2 medium coats. 8 parts clear 1 part hardner 1 part reducer. I think he said with a 1.4 do just one wet coat. But if your looking for something really flat i would definitely recommend

We use a 1.4 with one wet wet coat. As much as we can lay on without runs so we can get as much film build as possible in one coat. We have done two coats for testing and still no gloss, or very little. Plenty matte enough for a firearm. We LOVE the stuff. Use it on hundreds of parts every day.

And remember Marc is extremely knowledgeable about many coating systems. He distributes for many different paint systems and can get you a product for nearly ANY application. He recently found me a coating for my new rough pine barn floor. I’ll give an update once we get it finished!
