Welcome to the K2Forums.com Hydro-HQ forums! Stay awhile and listen...

The K2 Forums are a service for hydrographic enthusiasts to exchange news, knowledge and ideas in a secure, friendly environment.

The forums team is present 24/7 to help protect forum users from abuse, trolls and spambots, as well as coordinate feedback, bug reports and requests to and from the administration and development team.

One of the major features of the forums is direct communication to the forum team. The entire team reviews the forums and responds or channels the information as fast as we can.

    Thread Titles

When posting a fresh thread, please use a clear title that is easy to understand. This will help forum staff channel the feedback to the right people as soon as possible. Use "Bug:" in the title if you are reporting a bug of any kind.

There are forum sections for each and every type of problem or question. It's important to post in those forums so the respective support staff can immediately review the posts during their daily reviews.

Try not to use all caps or people's names in thread titles, to keep things easier to parse and manage.

Forum staff will adjust thread titles to match these guidelines and move them to the correct forum section as soon as possible, but it's more efficient to do that from the start, when starting a fresh thread.

Forum members have a very high level of flexibility for forum signatures. Make them cool, creative and respectful. There are a lot of good examples of signatures on the forums; check them out to help you decide what you want for yourself. You can edit your signatures using the "Edit Profile" button (shaped like a silhouette at the top right of the page).

    Posting Guidelines

Since the purpose of the forums is to exchange news, knowledge and ideas in a secure, friendly environment - it's important to stay constructive. Even if you're having a bad day or completely disagree with something by another poster, we have to keep the environment safe and reasonably polite for everyone.

Sharing ideas and opinions shouldn't be combined with attacks or "calls outs" of any human being, group or company. If you have an issues with another forum member, send a message to a forum staff member who will help resolve the situation. Complaints and constructive about any aspect of the game is absolutely allowed and appreciated in a constructive, respectful and reasonable manner.

Posts can be flagged is abusive and will alert a forum staff member to review the post and work with the poster if it violates the code of conduct. Please don't use these flags for revenge against another poster, that's not their purpose.

Many families visit this forum together. Please don't use profanity.

Selling or direct solicitation of ANYTHING in the forums or by PM is not allowed and will result in the deletion of the post. You will be notified by the K2Forums.com staff anytime these actions need to be taken. Repeat offenders will lose their posting privileges.

Private party ads are acceptable as long as they are posted in the Classifieds forum section. If your business has a product or service that you feel can benefit our community, contact us BEFORE you post! K2Forums@gmail.com

Spamming/advertising in the general forums is not tolerated. Again, if you have a product or service that would be of interest to our members please contact the K2 Forums administrators to learn how you can join our team and help support our community. We offer low-cost packages that can be of great benefit to you and your company.

The promotion of competing sites and/or forums is not allowed. Occasionally using the name of other sites or even posting a link to a pertinent thread from another site is acceptable, but repeatedly referring to other related sites is considered SPAM and will not be allowed. Users are not allowed to link to other forums in signatures, posts or PM's in effort to generate traffic to a competing site. This will be up to the discretion of the K2 Forums Admin and Moderator Staff, and you will be notified if action needs to be taken.

    Troll-Free Environment

The K2 Forums try to maintain reasonable, "troll free" environment. Normally trolls are just frustrated people who want to vent, so forum staff will do their best to help them find a more constructive way to post. If a member is reported repeatedly for abuse or trolling, they will be assigned a troll flag in the forum software and their posts will be put into limbo (invisible) until the troll flag is removed after a period of "troll-free" time.

Everyone probably knows what trolling is, it's easy to spot. Here's a good summary from Wikipedia: "In Internet slang, a troll is a person who sows discord on the Internet by starting arguments or upsetting people, by posting inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community (such as a forum, chat room, or blog), either accidentally or with the deliberate intent of provoking readers into an emotional response or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic." Source: Wikipedia Entry for Trolling

You can use the "Flag" button to report a post that is violating the spirit of this troll-free philosophy. Forum staff will review and take reasonable steps to correct the problem.
Disagreeing with a post does not hurt another user in any way, use that as a simple expression of your opinion.

In the event a player violates the code of conduct, they will usually receive a warning message using one of these categories:
1.(a) Spamming, bumping threads repeatedly, posting spoilers, or mild language. (minor)
2.(a) Abusive, rude or trolling behavior. Wikipedia Entry for Trolling (major)
2.(b) Attacking, insulting, calling out or threatening any human being, group or company. (major)
2.(c) Excessive profanity, advertising bots, repeated minor offenses. (major)

    Other Tips and Notes

Before posting, you may wish to use the white search bar to see if your topic or question already has a dedicated thread.

Please don't post on alt accounts or try to circumvent the system. Everyone is pretty reasonable and forgiving, so it's better to just work through an issue with forum staff, they are very understanding.

    Code of Conduct Obligatory Stuff

The use of the K2 Forums constitutes acceptance of this Code of Conduct.

Membership and participation in these forums is a privilege and not a right. The forum staff reserve the right to remove forum privileges for those who repeatedly violate the code of conduct or harm/threaten other forum members in any way.

The K2 forum staff has the right to modify and apply the Code of Conduct at their discretion at any time.

Moderators and Administrators have the Final Word.

If you have a problem or a complaint please direct it to the administrators instead of posting in the public forums. They will quickly take the appropriate actions to resolve the issue in a private and discreet manner.

Most of all....Have fun and enjoy the forums! :D
  • Next Remote Class Ohio or Florida *AMMENDED WITH ANSWERS*

Need some commitments for the next remote class. I am thinking either Ohio or Florida...Right now the dates are the 22nd, 23rd. and 24th of May 2014.

After that we are looking at September sometime as I am sure August is hell in most of the country...including here...

I would say we have about a week to nail these dates down or the flight rates change. If you guys want to put together a collection to pay for the difference in the flights? I'll leave that up to you.

OK Gentlemen, I understand this is no small sacrifice on both our parts. You guys thinking about attending are willing to invest some serious funds and probably have to take time off work. I get that and appreciate the commitment. Trust me when I say that we are VERY good at teaching our clients, our 69th company is arriving for training tomorrow. I know of no one who has trained more companies in the last 2 1/2 years and I am positive no one in this industry spends more time trying to improve the levels of their teaching commitments. I take your trust VERY seriously and will do everything in my power to make sure you are fully competent and completely equipped when you leave my training course.

I too will be spending some serious time off to travel and this results in some serious billing deficiencies for our company here. We bill out $1200 to $1500 a day and I am investing 5 days total into the trip. While this still results in a small deficit? I consider it both a challenge and a honor to take a trip out to meet you guys and build our community even larger than what it is today. And it's a hell of alot of fun teaching my new friends as you have probably seen in some of our videos.

    OK enough about that.

Materials: I will provide the basic materials as far as different paints like water based, OHW. If you want to bring your own paints to try out? We will have more than enough time to play with them and see what you like and do not like.
I provide basic films for the class to demonstrate the differences in the quality of films and how to read them. If there are any films you are having trouble with? Please bring them with you.
I will have both HydroVator and K2 Brew on hand for instruction. If there is a activator you prefer then please bring it along with you.

In short? You only need to bring yourself and a pen and a pad of paper. I recommend a activator gun but it is not required. We provide all training materials. If you WANT to bring anything? You are more than welcome.

Business models: There are many aspects of the business however they all can be addressed in the amount of time we will be in class. This is why I extended the training days to make sure we cover those pointed areas. The overview of all the trainees will only benefit the group as each will be able to see how they can adapt and help each other. This is the part I am looking forward to.

Deposits: Deposits are 50% of the course and FULLY refundable in the event that there is not enough attendees for your area. I understand the whole chicken and the egg thing. Likewise I have commitments and one of them would be booking a flight. If there is not enough interest then I cannot get a refund after 24 hours. There is also a limited amount of seats on the plane so if they sell out? The cost of my flight can double...ask me how I know?
So if you want to book a seat? Get your deposit over to me at: sales@k2concepts.net
Once we have received the deposits for 4 companies? I will book the flight.
We had 5 companies committed to the Kansas class and only 3 have come through so now I have booked the flight? And I'm stuck. Since this was the first class? I'll take that as a learning curve lesson BUT I won't make the same mistake twice.

In short? the cut off will be March 21st. for all deposits. That was suggested so I will agree to that. The sooner the better so get your deposits in pronto.

If it doesn't work for either location? Then I refund the money and we start talking about another future date...no harm done.

If we can make this work? I KNOW you will benefit from the training...I have seen it with my own eyes many times over the years.

Also we are almost sure to have some giveaways and freebies...we are just getting started!!!
