How long are you letting your items sit in a rinse station? Do you rinse it till all of the residue is off?

    Yea, until it is no longer slimy. Water temp, volume and pressure will all affect how much time that takes.

    What would cause the film to run or start to show through the base coat? Poor Film, Bad water temp, over rinsing?

    overactivation will cause that

    Yep, that's most likely over activated if you're describing it as "running off" but could also be under activation if it looks more like flakes. Or even incompatible base paint. Post up some pics and more info on your process.

    I made the switch to trying OWH paint for this round. Let get some pics after I am done
