Spend some time reading all the posts in the forums. Take notice of what tools / items pop up in the conversations. Then start to make a list. Theres to many items for one person to just start sounding off. Reading the forums will also give you alot of answers that you will have in the future.

Better learn it before thinking you are going to just start a business.

LOL...OK here is a small list:
    Tank
    Compressor
    1 Primer HVLP Gun
    1 Base Coat HVLP Gun
    1 Activator HVLP Gun
    1 Clear Coat HVLP Gun
    Rinse Station
    Preparation Table
    Cutting Table
    Film Storage
    Rinse Drying Racks
    Dipping Staging Racks
    Air Lines
    Water Lines
    Wash Sink
    Electrical Lines
    Paint Booth

And of course materials like paints, clears, films, masking tape, mixing cups, stir sticks, strainers, primers, sand papers, gun wash...

And you can bet you will double all that by the time you get ready to start...

...and it's these "little" accessories that can really add to the cost of start-up in this business.

I told my wife a year and half ago it won't take BUT 15 20 grand and I can start a hydrographic dipping business. $3500 for classes, flight and hotel. 10,000 for tank, $3700 for room I had built in my shop. 1400 for electrician. I did make my own rinse station for less than $500. Paint booth is very small $6500. Don't really know how much I've spent on paint, tape, and supply's plus jigs I've built to hold everything from yeti koozies to golf carts. If I had to rent a space I probably wouldn't have made it this far. I'm not trying to discourage you because its picking up fast and it's fun. I work 7 days a week and enjoy just about every minute except the mishaps that seen to happen out of nowhere. Good luck!

Look at your dates guys. @dazzlefilm resurected a thread from August of 2014… and I haven't seen @Ozzy2k14  round here since then...
