    You really should be testing to make sure that you have completely removed the contaminates to begin with. At the point that you have paint on the part, its already too late to remove.

    In addition, I have seen guys that assume that you ALWAYS degrease before you clear. That is incorrect. you ONLY degrease if you ABSOLUTELY have too. You goal is to never put any chemical on before you clear.

    Just wondering. What if a part sits on the shelf for a week before clear. Just tack cloth it or spray some type of cleaner?

    @DeviousDips unless you have contamination in your shop don't touch it with a chemical. You only use a chemical if you have proven that there is a NEED too. In 99% of cases, all you have to do is tack it off.
