Cerakote tip size

Is it just personal preference for spraying with a 0.5 or a 0.8 tips size for cerakote? Or is there a need to have both sizes?

We only use a 0.8. Download their application manual and follow it exactly. It’ll give you good results. Use your lights on an angle to Spray an even, wet, overlapping coat. Then do it again. Each “wet” coat will give you about a 0.5 mil thickness. If you’re doing Cerakote, get a mil thickness gauge. You want 1.0 mil cured thickness.

Hey @shadow , get the ANI .08 from jim @K2Concepts and thank me later. I've had them all from harbor freight guns to the iwata gun that cerakote sells . Im telling ya the ANI is the perfect gun for this and is cost friendly.

@shadow , I haven't personally tried the .5 tip ANI , but I bet it would work also. Jim is advertising one really cheap on his liquidation post right now.
